In Asia Pakistan, India, China and Japan are the main Countries where Kites are flown. In these four countries two of them are where Kite flying is enjoyed at certain competitions and these competitions are helled at very big places. Competions are for bigger sizes of kites their shapes. Biggest kite win the most besautiful kite win etc. people make very big and different shape of kites they give them shape of birds animals etc.
In other two contries Pakistan and India Kite flying is not just restained to competitions or festival in these countries there is no need for festival or competition to fly kites in these countries people of all ages enjoy kite flying as sport just as cricket is enjoyed in these countries. In Pakistan every year a festival of Kite flying is celebrated called "Bassant" people engage each others kites in air and try to cut other's kite. People spend billions of rupees for Bassant. Not only on Bassant people used to fly kites every season no metter it's summer or winter.
